Manager – Kalpana Gaikwad

Kalpana is an experienced healthcare professional with over 30 years in nursing and care management. She has held senior roles across hospitals, nursing homes, and healthcare organisations, progressing from registered nurse to home manager. With a strong background in clinical leadership and a passion for delivering high-quality, person-centred care, Kalpana is dedicated to supporting residents, families, and staff to create a safe and nurturing environment.

Throughout her career, Kalpana has successfully led multidisciplinary teams, implemented best practices in care delivery, and ensured compliance with regulatory standards. She is skilled in staff development and mentoring, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.

Kalpana believes in building strong relationships with residents and their families, listening to their needs, and tailoring care to promote comfort, dignity, and independence. Her hands-on approach, combined with strategic leadership, ensures that Gwendoline House remains a warm, welcoming, and well-managed home where residents thrive.

Deputy Manager – Eloise Nikita Thomas

Ellie began her career at Gwendoline House as a Carer and, through dedication and hard work, has progressed to the role of Deputy Manager. In this role, she works closely with the Home Manager to oversee the daily operations of the care home, ensuring high standards of care, safety, and wellbeing for all residents.

Ellie is instrumental in supporting and mentoring staff, coordinating care plans, and maintaining regulatory compliance. She is passionate about creating a warm, welcoming environment where residents feel valued, supported, and respected. Her hands-on approach and commitment to person-centred care make her a trusted leader among both staff and residents.

Chef – Prabhakar Gaikwad

Chef PG plays a vital role at Gwendoline House, creating nutritious, delicious, and well-balanced meals tailored to the needs of each resident. With a keen understanding of dietary requirements and preferences, he ensures that every meal is both appetising and wholesome, supporting residents’ health and wellbeing.

Beyond cooking, Chef PG contributes to the warm, welcoming atmosphere of the home, often engaging with residents to understand their tastes and bring a personal touch to mealtimes. His dedication to high-quality, comforting food helps enhance residents’ daily experience and overall quality of life.

Handyman – Gurpreet Marway

Gurpreet is a valued member of the Gwendoline House team, ensuring the home remains safe, comfortable, and fully operational for all residents and staff. He carries out routine maintenance, repairs, and regulatory checks, helping to ensure the home meets all safety and compliance standards.

With a proactive and reliable approach, Gurpreet supports a smooth-running environment, contributing to the wellbeing, safety, and peace of mind of everyone at Gwendoline House.
